Eco-Innovators: Designing an eco-friendly version of an everyday item
Topic Based Activity - Topics: Entrepreneurship, Sustainability
Description: Students create a new product as an eco-friendly version of an everyday product, helping them to understand the importance of alignment with customer needs and wants when making business decisions.
In this activity, students will work through developing a list of materials used in the design and production of the product, give the new product a name and slogan, and discuss why the eco-friendly version would sell more than the traditional version. As an extension, students could create and display a prototype, potentially in collaboration with another department within your school.
