Design Thinking Bundle
This bundle consists of 2 lesson starters, 1 teamwork & collaboration activity and 1 imaginative/out-of-the box design thinking challenge
Description:
Think backwards (lesson starter): Students work in teams to activate their creativity by imagining an outrageous product, thinking backwards to identify the problem it might solve, and evaluate whether it is feasible.
River crossing riddle (lesson starter): Students work in teams to solve a brainteaser. The instructions are shown on a video, which can be paused while they work in their teams.
Bridge the gap: Design & build a bridge in two halves (teamwork & collaboration activity): Students collaborate to design and build a bridge using random materials. After planning as a full team, each team splits into two sides, with each side building half the bridge. Students must rely on silent communication, planning, and adaptability to ensure a successful build.
Last minute egg request (topic-based activity): Students will help Rip and Lil figure out how to deliver 200 fresh eggs to a restaurant 100km away by the next day. The activity concludes in a presentation in the form of a 1-minute pitch, where each team presents their solution and justifies their choices.
